This event was inspired by my love affair with pigeon. How I feel seagulls mirror some of our most modern human attributes. Those who tuck into the nooks and crannies of our more industrial and sometimes neglected, human spaces. The seals living in busy harbors, the squirrels in city trees. The tiny ones in the crevices, raising their young and navigating this interesting world in ways not too dissimilar from us humans. I wonder if metro mice long for the quaintness of country life, too? Or how dragonflies adjust to the vibrational frequencies of less-than-desirable noisescapes.
What can we learn and how can we honor the animals who so kindly join us in some of humanity’s most paradoxical landscapes? You are so welcome to join us in this space and bring a city friend you’ve been longing to connect with. This is going to be a cozy cocoon of connection despite some really big themes. Sort of how the presence of pigeon can bring a smile to your heart amongst busy buildings that reach for the sky.
