Join Kristen Houser (Fauna Speak) and Jessica Headley Ternes (Sacred Thresholds) on a journey of connection with the animals and ancestors. In our preparations, we have met with Bear in relationship with the land and flora, Fox as a guide, Owl as a bridge between realms and Deer as connector with seasonality, cycles and wild, heart energy. In this space, amongst these guides and others, we will be connecting with the land, animal lineages both physical and immaterial, as well as our own well ancestors of benevolent blood and bone. Exploring the inseparability of our own stories with those ancient, wise ancestors of our lineages who came before us, dreaming us into being with their hands, their vision and their love. Our connection with these ancestral pillar lineages will be braided into the fabric of earth and landscapes, including flora and fauna lineages so many of our ancestral kin were in deep relationship with. Flora and fauna lineages who we too, are in relationship with. We will explore together how these components weave into where we find ourselves now, in this time/place, and the generous support and reciprocity shared with us when we nourish these connections and intentionally lean into these relationships.
We will be discussing as practitioners how we experience these realms, exploring the shared mythologies of our interspecies kin and the generous support our well ancestors offer along with the investment they extend to us in our time here as their living descendants. Together, we will participate in shared visualizations with the animals and receive blessings and messages from our well ancestors. We call this 'In the Burrow' as it is designed to be a safe and insulated cocoon of connection for both the individual and group.
